  • One of the great questions scholars debate is whether or not Judas participated in Holy Communion during the Last Supper. Matthew and Mark do not tell us when he left; John doesn’t include the moment when Jesus institutes the Sacrament. Luke, however, has Judas at the table with Jesus all the way through (see Luke 22:21-22)! How does that change your picture of the moment when this takes place?

  • The disciples were certainly surprised when Jesus invited them to eat and drink His body and blood for the forgiveness of their sins. This holy meal was something brand new! How have you come to appreciate receiving communion?

  • Notice that Jesus promises that He will feast with us again in His Father’s Kingdom! What gets you excited about feasting with Jesus for forever?
