  • Which detail from today’s reading stands out the most to you? Was it something old or something new?

  • Jesus was on a mission to redeem and restore the world, even if it cost Him His life. As the hours of darkness dragged on and people began to wonder what was happening, Jesus was at work. What do you think you would have done if you were standing in the crowd that day?

  • Everything — literally everything! — Jesus said and did was to fulfill what God promised in our Old Testament. Pick one of the references in the notes and take a closer look at it. How does that help you appreciate what Jesus did on the cross?
