Would-Be Followers

  • As Jesus begins His final journey to Jerusalem, weeding out “would-be followers” becomes an even greater priority. As you reflect on Jesus’ words, which challenge do you find the most difficult: Choosing personal comfort vs. sacrifice? Following your own schedule and plan vs. God’s timing? Playing it safe vs. going all in?

  • It may seem harsh, but Jesus teaches that some will claim to follow Jesus and even go through all the motions but still not truly trust in Him. How might that be a danger for other believers? How might it impact non-believers?
